Cunningham, Group Captain John
1917–
   ‘Cats’ Eyes’ Cunningham was one of the most determined and famous RAF night-fighter pilots. At the time when nightfighters had no technical gadgets to aid them, Cunningham went out night after night in the first eight months of 1940 and succeeded in shooting down twelve German aircraft.
